Since iOS 12 and macOS Mojave both got their final release dates at Apple's special event today, you might be wondering why the long-rumored new iPad Pros and Macs didn't get any stage time in.
- There is no version of iOS News for OS X, sorry. At present there is no Apple News app that can be installed on a Mac available. You can submit a feedback. Currently (sadly & strangely) there is no OS X News, nor has there been talk of one soon.
- Jul 24, 2018 Apple News app: a familiar look. Located on the macOS Dock, the Apple News app features a familiar icon that’s been slightly redesigned for the desktop. Like the News app in iOS, the app on Mac is divided into two main sections. On the left side, you’ll find links to the latest news stories plus links to your favorite topics and publications.
I don't have the app installed, I think I deleted it back in iOS 9. Anyways, I wanted to try out the new iOS 10 version and I can't find the News app. I searched but couldn't find it on the App Store. I found the News app page on Apple's site and clicking the 'get Apple News' link just refreshed the page. my wife was able to locate the News app on the App Store on her phone so I had my wife text the link to to me. I was then able to get to the News app page in the App Store but the 'open' button is inactive so there's no way to open or download the app.
So how can I get the Apple News app on my phone again? Why am I having the issues that I'm having tracking down the app?
